조달청장, 기업현장 방문 수출현장 규제 사항 청취, 수출지원 및 해외조달시장 진출 방안 모색

 조달청이 우리경제의 동력인 수출 확대를 위해 조달기업의 해외 진출을 총력 지원하기로 했다.

 김윤상 조달청장은 20일 경기도 안양시 소재 렉스젠 주식회사를 방문해 수출현장의 애로와 규제사항을 청취하고 수출 예정 물량을 살펴보았다.

 렉스젠㈜는 인공지능(AI)기반의 스마트 교통관제 시스템 제조기업으로, 우수한 기술력과 품질로 조달우수제품 및 혁신제품으로 지정된 기업이다.

 이 기업은 지난 4월 나라장터 엑스포 수출상담회에서 1,600만불 수출계약을 체결하는 등 국내시장을 넘어 해외시장 진출에 박차를 가하고 있다.

 오영준 렉스젠 대표는 기업의 해외실증 확보 지원을 위해 혁신제품 시범구매 제도의 범위를 국내를 넘어 해외까지 확대해 줄 것과 해외 바이어 초청, 수출상담회 등의 해외진출 지원사업을 통한 기업의 수출 역량 강화에 힘써 줄 것을 건의했다.

 김윤상 조달청장은 “정부는 하반기 경제회복 모멘텀 강화를 위해 수출· 투자촉진 등 범부처적으로 총력 대응하고 있다.”면서 

 “조달청도 수출 현장의 생생한 목소리를 경청하고, 적극적인 지원을 통해 우리 기업의 수출 및 해외 조달시장 진출에 활력을 불어넣겠다.”고 말했다.

Seeking Economic Revitalization through Overseas Procurement Market Opportunities

The Public Procurement Service(PPS) is committed to supporting domestic suppliers to enter foreign procurement markets and expand exports, which is a driving force behind the Korean economy.

On July 20th, PPS Administrator Kim Yoon-sang visited RexGen Co., located in the city of An-yang, Gyeonggi-do, to listen to their difficulties and regulatory issues regarding export activities. Administrator Kim also took a close look at the planned export quantity.

RexGen is a manufacturer of an AI-based smart traffic control system known for its remarkable technologies and quality. Some of its products have been designated as an Innovative Product as well as an Excellent Government Procurement Product.

The tech firm is now actively venturing into overseas markets, having secured an export contract worth 16 million USD at the export consultation meeting of the Korea Public Procurement Expo 2023 held in April.

Oh Young-joon, the CEO of RexGen, suggested that PPS further endeavor to bolster companies' export capabilities through support in securing overseas validation and references for their innovative products by expanding the scope of the pilot purchase system beyond domestic boundaries and into international procurement markets. Additionally, he proposed initiatives such as inviting foreign buyers and organizing export consultation meetings to aid in companies' expansion into overseas procurement markets.

Administrator Kim stated that the government is focusing on enhancing economic vitality for the latter half of the year, and national policies are being pursued with an emphasis on measures to elevate economic strength.

He added that PPS will attentively hearing the voices of suppliers and seek supportive measures to revitalize their entry into overseas procurement markets.
