미(美) 연방 조달청과 손잡고 우리 기업의 미국 진출을 돕는다
15일에 미 연방 조달청과 주한 미군 담당자 초청 설명회 개최

 조달청(청장 김윤상)은 오는 15일 반포동에 소재한 서울지방조달청 별관 3층 대강당에서 ‘미국 연방 조달시장 진출 설명회’를 개최한다.

 이번 설명회는 우리 기업의 주한 미군 등 미국 조달시장 진출을 지원하기 위해 조달청이 미국 연방 조달청(GSA)과 주한 미군 공병부대(USACE*) 계약처에 설명회 공동 개최를 제안하여 마련됐다.

 설명회에서는 미국 연방정부의 주요 물자와 서비스를 조달하는 미국 연방 조달청 제9지역청 스테이시 프랭클린(Stacey A. Franklin)과장과 주한 미군 공병부대 계약처에서 직접 참여하여 미국 연방과 주한 미군 조달시장에 대해 실질적인 정보를 제공한다.

 참가 대상은 연간 6,700억 달러(한화 약 876조원, 2023. 12. 8. 환율기준) 이상 규모인 미국 연방 조달시장에 관심이 있는 국내 조달기업이며, 설명회 참여를 희망하는 기업은 조달청 해외정보센터 누리집을 통해 자세한 사항을 확인할 수 있다.

 황외석 국제협력담당관은 “이번 설명회가 미국 조달시장 진출을 위한 계약 관련 실무적인 정보를 얻을 수 있는 계기가 되길 바란다”면서,
 “앞으로도 우리 기업이 주한 미군 등 미국 조달시장을 교두보로 삼아 해외시장으로 진출할 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

PPS hosts briefing for the U.S. General Services Administration and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Korea
'Exploring the U.S. Procurement Market' to be held on December 15th

On December 15, the Public Procurement Service (PPS) will hold a briefing session on "Exploring the U.S. Procurement Market" at the Seoul Regional Procurement Office.

In order to help Korean companies enter the U.S. procurement market, PPS proposed to the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers(USACE) in Korea to jointly hold the briefing to coincide with the Director of the GSA’s visit to Korea.

The briefing will provide practical information on the U.S. procurement market by directly participating in the GSA Director for 9th Regional office and the contracting officer of USACE in Korea.

The target audience is domestic procurement organizations interested in accessing the more than $670 billion annual U.S. procurement market.

Hwang Oe Seok, director of International Cooperation Division of PPS stated,  "We hope that this briefing will provide an opportunity for companies to gain practical information on contracting to enter the U.S. procurement market.
